Hawaii Pacific University Basketball Coach Tony Sellitto dropped by the show to discuss the late Pio Sagapolutele, the legacy of Phil Jackson, and Tony’s return to Hawaii Pacific University.
Sellitto said he thinks Phil Jackson is one of the greatest coaches of all time, but “It’s always hard to pick the best.” Sellitto says that people don’t give Jackson enough credit for how difficult it is to coach great players
In regards to Kobe vs. Lebron, Sellitto said, “Who would care? I’ll take any one of em!”
Sellitto said he’s excited about returning to HPU. He said he’s not worried about coaching kids today, noting that they haven’t changed, he’s changed. Sellitto said he is more dependent on his assistants now and trusts them to do more.
Sellitto ended the interview with a run down of the exciting impact players on this year’s HPU squad.
